History maintained its course as Black Mamba from Kaloleni cruised to the quarter finals of the Sportpesa sponsored 40th edition of the annual Kothbiro football tournament after beating fancied Umeme Bees from Ziwani by a solitary goal. In the 40 years of Kothbiro, the Bees have never beaten Black Mamba.
The winning goal was scored by Baral Lopaga in the 41’in a bitterly contested penalty kick after a Bee defender was penalized for handling the ball near their goal mouth as he tried to clear a dangerous volley.

Black Mamba tactician, Abonyo Konyuka said that, “Though history has always been on our side when we play against the Bees, this time we really worked extra hard for it!”
As Kaloleni start their Christmas celebrations waiting for a quarter final opponent, tomorrow Wednesday 19, at 3pm, Nyoi fc from Ziwani will host Piuretto from Dandora in another tough duel.
Nyoi are in this stage after topping group D with 3 wins and a single draw while Piuretto were runners-up in group H with 3 wins and a single loss. The two have never met before but they both have youth and experience in their sides.
